We’re live and local markets, and we serve our Communities
Forcht Broadcasting proudly serves our communities with 25 small market radio stations, in nine markets, in three states. Our first station, WAIN in Columbia, Kentucky, was acquired by owner Terry Forcht in 1983. Since then, we have grown to become one of Kentucky largest radio groups. Our staff of mostly veteran radio pros, but some newcomers to the industry, work hard each day to bring listeners the latest in news and community, weather, and sports updates, along with relevant programming, promotions, and daily segments. Oh – and we try to play great music, too! Many of our staff have been recognized by the radio industry for their excellence, and we couldn’t be more proud!
The Forcht Broadcasting headquarters are in Corbin, Kentucky, and all Forcht Broadcasting offices are located in Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky. Our markets can be found in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, and our listeners are found, well, all over the country. We want our listeners and followers to be able to access our radio from their mediums of choice. Forcht Broadcasting offers online and mobile streaming options, texting, and mobile App capabilities to reach our listeners and take our clients everywhere! Our station online experiences are developed to give our visitors the best, most informative, most fun, and most mobile friendly ways to reach us and to know what’s going on in their communities anytime.
We believe it’s important to support organizations supporting the radio industry. Forcht Broadcasting and its stations are members of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association, the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the Illinois Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Broadcasters, and the Radio Advertising Bureau. We hope you will tune in to Forcht Broadcasting on the dial, online, or from your mobile device, and enjoy hometown, local radio! Regardless of where you call home, it’s important to support your local radio stations – so always Listen Local!
